What should I expect at my first Rheumy Visit?

You can expect to have a physical examination, he/she will most likely order more bloodtests to be taken. You may also need to have xray's, scans etc; You may be started on medication depending on how active the disease is.

One thing most people find is that they do not get a definite diagnosis at their first visit so don't be dissappointed if this turns out happening to you, most Rheumatologists like to have definite evidence before making an exact diagnosis.
