So who is this Geoff guy - slash - bloke ???
Hi again to all @ LWL,
Not many would know, but I studied radio broadcasting before biking around America to raise awreness for lupus. Over the past month I've been involved in a new radio show specific to lupus and other mixed connective tissue disorders. It's really exciting to be involved from the start.
When I was battling for awareness early on, I was interviewed by a newspaper in Indiana. Suddenly, The Alliance for Lupus Research became involved and I made contact with a great lady in California, Kathy, who runs http://www.lupusmctd.com/
Two years later, we're teaming up to produce a talk program. I know it's early days, but you have to start somewhere and experiment.
Kathy interviewed me last week and I thought it would be an opportunity for you to "put a voice" to the guy who posts here. I basically tell my lupus story.

I'll try and post a few other interviews here on NPR from the actual trip around America - if I can dig them up!
Anyway, when I decided to bike around America, I knew I'd have to tell the full story - hence me disclosing as much as I can about myself.
I'll also be doing a bit of other media soon for awareness.
I'll keep you updated!
Regards as Always
Geoff

Hi Monica & Ray... It's a pleasure!
I've got a national TV interview filmed in LA that I wanted to post on the blog leading up to World Lupus Day - but like lupus, computers can be so frustrating at times!
