Vitamin D & Sunshine
Is anyone taking a Vitamin D supplement? I eat a lot of salmon and herring as I know it has high vitamin D content and is good for RA joint pain, but I am wondering if I should start taking a vit. D supplement as I cannot go out in the sun. Any suggestions or info would be appreciated.
Hugs,
Beth

Re: Vitamin D & Sunshine
Hi Beth, I was taking it for a while and need to take again. I had a nutritionist recommend it and my sisters doc swears by it, especially for those with auto immune diseases.

Re: Vitamin D & Sunshine
Hi Beth,
I was taking 2000 IU per day but have stopped, I do have to have my Vit D levels checked and may need to go back on it if they are not what they should be, I was highly vit D deficient in June last year and was on supplements for 7 months so it will be interesting to see what my levels are. It is important to have good levels for good bone health and helps to ward of osteoporosis as I'm sure you know. Just another one of the joys of our lovely disease!!
