Re: Hello Geoff
Dear Ray, Chris & Poppy,
Thanks so much for your kind welcome... It really is appreciated!
It's so great to be part of such a friendly site... Even if it's not too active at the moment!
But just a thought: I spent a great deal of lonely miles on the road in America, so I needed some music to get me over the mountains and through the deserts.
"From Little Things, Big Things Grow" by Paul Kelly, could be applied here, as it was out on the road!
(but I have to admit, my favourite tune from this great Australian songwriter is "How To Make Gravy". It's an unofficial Christmas carol down here...)
Anyway, thanks again for all your support. I'm sure you all realise how much it means to me, and I'm sure Maz can relate.
It's a pleasure to be part of Living With Lupus, and also a site where all forms of lupus are united and respected. As I say, we're all in this together.
As Always
Geoff

Hi Geoff,
Welcome to the board! I am a fan of yours and your website! I read it on a regular basis. I want to take this chance to thank you for what you have done to raise awareness for lupus and lupus research! I wish I had the energy to do an ouce of what you have done in terms of bike riding!
I look forward to getting to know you and chatting with you!
Melissa

Re: Hello Geoff
Hi Monica & Melissa...
It's a pleasure to be here!
And thanks so much for your kind words. Well, I haven't been on the bike for a while - I'm still getting over the injuries. Next time, I think jumping out of an aircraft might be safer - and raise more awareness!
But seriously, that adventure of mine around America was a life-changing experience. I realised how there were so many people doing it 'tougher' than I was. If I can assist in any way, it's a pleasure.
Geoff.
